Church Administration CITAM


Job Details

CITAM wishes to engage the services of professional Christians who subscribe to it's Vision, Mission, Core values and Statement of faith in various departments.

Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM), wishes to recruit a born again Church Administrator, who shall be charged with the responsibility of providing administrative support to a CITAM assembly and/or institution for Strategic, efficient, effective day-to-day operations.

Key duties and responsibilities:

T.1Ensure that church facilities including premises, equipment and furniture are well maintained and in good working condition for effective support to ministry.

T.2Manage logistics for meetings and ensure facilities are adequately arranged, booking and arrangement of venues for external meetings and retreats of staff and leadership, provision of any required materials, and provision of refreshments. These include Sunday services, meetings of boards and committees, AGM and members’ days, leadership and staff meetings and retreats.

T.3Keep updated inventory of all assets (equipment and furniture).

T.4Authorise and oversee the proper use of facilities, equipment and furniture by people who hire them for activities such as meetings, funerals and wedding receptions.

T.5Recommend the purchase/disposal of equipment and furniture.

T.6Responsible for mail registry including dispatch, collection and distribution of incoming mail.

T.7Raise requisitions for expenditures in line with the finance policy through the ERP system

T.8Supervision of the support staff in the Assembly/Unit.

T.9Scheduling of leave and time off for support staff.

T.10Recommend disciplinary action for support staff.

T.11Maintains petty cash for the Assembly/Unit.

T.12With the help of the head of the assembly, institution or department/unit other key staff, prepare and control annual budgets for the assembly, institution or department/unit.

T.13Attend departmental heads meetings.

T.14Prepares bank reconciliations twice a month of imprest and bank account.

T.15Collects school fees (in cases of schools), banks, and forwards banking details to the HQ Accountant.

T.16Responsible for all receipts into the Unit/Assembly

T.17Updates students fees register (in case of schools) and prepares the student’s outstanding balance reports

T.18 Source and analyse quotations from suppliers

T.19Monitors and analyses the expenditure against budgets at the Assembly/Unit and advises the Head of Assembly/ Unit.

T.20Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the management.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or other relevant degree

Certified Public Accountant II (CPA II)

At least 2 year experience in a similar position, and especially in administration

AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING

The position involves making recommendations to the Church Administrator on issues related to Administration and Human Resources as long as they are within policies, procedures and practices of the Church.

X.SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS

The job involves occasional attendance of meetings that run late into the evenings. May occasionally be exposed to situations demanding that tight deadlines be met.
