Development & Management of new & ongoing Puma's Global Aviation business in order to achieve the overall key objectives of the business (i.e. volumes, margins, EBIDTA, capex investments, opex etc).
Responsible for coaching, training and developing Aviation staff while establishing and implementing quality initiatives, efficient customer service and improving staff productivity. Establish business goals, forecast volumes of business and makes corresponding business decisions.

Global Aviation Manager

Location: Johannesburg. South-Africa (extensive travel)

Puma Energy is currently active in more than 25 airports, spread over Africa and Central America. The incumbent will develop and manage Puma's new and on-going Global Aviation business in order to achieve the overall key objectives of the business (ie volumes, margins, EBIDTA, Capex investments, Opex, etc).

He/ she will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives as well as coaching, training and developing aviation staff, while establishing and implementing quality initiatives, efficient customer service and improving staff productivity. Building effective relationships with local market stakeholders also forms part of his/her duties.

Main responsibilities:

    Responsible for developing and implement strategic global aviation business initiatives and lead the development, analysis and implementation / improvement of current/new Aviation oriented processes and companies activities (internal training, price management, etc). This will involve managing existing key accounts to deliver volume, margin, cost and EBITDA targets of Aviation Fuel in line with local & Global plans.
    Prospect key customers through an opportunity pipeline management approach of customer acquisition and Customer Relationship Management, focusing on customer satisfaction, and company profitability. This involves building effective relationships with local market stakeholders (government, industry, class associations) to develop business opportunities and monitor and mapping competitors' movement in the sales area.
    Manage and negotiate contracts, customer account receivables, debits and price/discount execution and investments deals and internal interface with supply & logistic teams, customer service centre, finance, marketing, legal.
    Responsible to ensure Company-wide assessment of aviation risk exposures, the implementation of strategies, and the development of controls that are put in place to minimize the risks and to mitigate their impact.
    Responsible for coaching, training and developing Aviation staff while establishing and implementing quality initiatives, efficient customer service and improving staff productivity.

Requirements:

    Post graduate university degree in Engineering, Finance, Commerce, Marketing  Management.
    Track record of developing business for setting up business from scratch and/or leading a market entry to a more mature state.

    Building and maintaining customer relationships
    Strong negotiation and sales skills
    Financial acumen to manage a P&L
    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications; Presentation tools and programs;
    Ability to travel extensively

Experience

    Min 10 years experience in the aviation fuel business.

Language

    Fluent English,  French/Portuguese a big plus
