We are looking for talented individuals to fill the following roles in our organization:-

1. Club Secretary / CEO

Job Ref: NC/CEO/I/2013

The club is inviting applicants for the position of a Club secretary (Chief Executive Officer) whose profile is clearly detailed below.

Key performance areas for the role:-

The Club Secretary (CEO) shall:

    Develop and monitor the performance of financial and operational plans; develop the annual budget and business plan, and make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets
    Oversee the delivery of superior services to all guests ensuring the utmost quality and care is delivered including prompt response to requests and the effective resolution of all complaints to the satisfaction of guests
    Ensure that product quality and service standards are met in all areas of the Club as pertains to physical appearance, maintenance and cleanliness.
    Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the Club
    Maximize food and beverage revenues by ensuring optimal use of banquet/outlet space and most cost-effective management of the Club's food and beverage outlets
    Oversee the security function to ensure a safe and secure environment for club members, guests, employees, and club assets.
    Establish and maintains a proactive human resources function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, pay and benefit administration, and compliance with policies and procedures and local labor regulations.
    Be secretary to the Management Committee

Person profile

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management/ Business Administration or equivalent
    An MBA will be an added advantage

Required Skills

    A strong background in hospitality industry in a competitive market.
    A commitment to transfer knowledge.
    Strong Leadership skills in managing a team to drive for results
    An ability to manage complex relationships
    Maintain confidentiality on relevant matters

Experience

    5 to 10 years of general management experiencein a high level operations role in the hospitality or some prior general management experience, with a successful proven track record, experience in management of a private members club will be an added advantage.
    Good working knowledge of hospitality accounting systems.

2. Chief Accountant

Job Ref: NC/CA/2/2013

The club is inviting applicants for the position of a Chief Accountant whose profile is clearly detailed below.

Key performance areas for the role:-

    Support the Club’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.
    Responsible for knowing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department. Utilize teamwork to develop departmental synergy
    Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
    Preparation of the monthly statutory accounts and financial statements under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and IFRS. Monitors compliance with club procedures and other legislation
    Report, analyze, and ensure integrity of all financial information.
    Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
    Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
    Prepare and present the budget to the management committee
    Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports to the finance committee
    Ensure efficient management of company assets especially cash and deposits
    Process payments to service providers
    Analyze transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
    Staff management and development.
    Responsible for all taxes obligations
    Develop and implement various accounting procedures

Person profile

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent
    Full CPA (K) qualification, ACCA

Required Skills

    Organizational and analytical skills
    Ability to supervise a team and deliver well under pressure and meet deadlines
    Time management skills and attention to detail
    Report writing skills
    Maintain confidentiality on relevant matters

Experience

    5 years relevant working experience with at least 3 years in senior management
    Working knowledge of account software

3. Food & Beverage Manager

Job Ref: NC/F&B/3/2013

Summary of the job

    Responsible for the management and achievement of profit for all food and beverage operations in the hotel including restaurants, bars, kitchen operations, catering and banquet operations.

Key performance areas for the role:-

The F&B Manager shall:

    Oversee the management of restaurants and bars
    Oversee the management of the kitchen operations
    Oversee the management of banquet operations
    Communicate regularly with food and beverage staff and conduct effective staff briefings
    With procurement department develop and monitor the implementation of purchasing procedures
    Achieve budgeted revenues, prepare monthly forecast, monitor and control food, beverage and labor costs, and maximize profitability within all areas of the food and beverage department.
    Ensure all staff is properly trained on quality and service standards and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
    Works with Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs
    Works with Chief Accountant in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget
    Ensure compliance with business operations and hospitality laws
    Work with credit controller to ensure all revenue is collected within the specified period

Person profile

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field.

Required Skills

    Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the club.
    Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency.
    Problem solving, reasoning, motivating
    Organizational and training abilities.
    Good Communication and writing skills

Experience

    5 years related experience, including management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    IT skills.
