Data Entry Clerk Tees Valley The Client: Our Client has embarked upon a significant investment program, to grow their business in the information management sector. The company has won numerous awards and is considered a market leader in the information management field.
The Opportunity: Data Entry Clerk’s work in close-knit teams, within either the Import/Export, Validation or Linking Team and are lead by an experienced Team Manager. The Data Entry Clerk is sought to undertake a wide range of project related activities including:
• Accurate and detailed data entry of a wide range of engineering information such as parts lists, model information and document registers.
• Scanning and indexing engineering drawings and documentation.
• Sourcing equipment related data and documents from suppliers.
• Building up electronic information sets of engineering data, such as tag registers, document registers etc.
• Project administration tasks, such as recording progress and producing status reports and updates.
• The efficient sourcing of information related to process engineering equipment. This is achieved by searching our Clients in-house library, contacting manufacturers direct or searching on the Internet.
• Efficient and accurate scanning and indexing of documents.
• Maintaining up to date information on the status of the engineering information being processed.
• Accurate checking of a wide range of engineering data and documents.
• Provision of support and assistance to less senior employees within the Data Entry Clerk role and team members within projects.
• Accurate data entry of often, complex technical information, some of which may be unfamiliar.
• Maintaining accuracy and consistency on some of the repetitive elements of the role.
• Sourcing equipment related information from some manufacturers, especially that relating to obsolete equipment. The Individual: The successful Data Entry Clerk will need the following:
• previous work experience of working in a technical environment would be an advantage – e.g. Drawing Office, Technical Sales Office, and Purchasing of Engineering Equipment.
• Microsoft Office Skills are required as are good keyboard skills.
• Good GCSE grades and or City and Guilds / NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) / RSA in Administration, Business or Secretarial Studies would be an advantage.
• Good office I.T. skills and the ability to successfully communicate via e-mail and telephone.
• Good research skills, using databases and the Internet to retrieve information are required. The Benefits: Salary circa £15, 000 per year (based upon qualifications and experience) plus benefits
