Job description
The eCommerce Business Analyst will engage with IBM''s commerce clients to develop innovative solutions to address core business issues in complex and integrated business environments. The Business Analyst will be a project team member and will perform project tasks and produce project deliverables.

The Business Analyst role requires the candidate to perform the following specific tasks:

Define specific business requirements to address business issues and challenges. Work with technical team to translate business requirements into technical specs. In collaboration with the rest of the team, ensure that the proposed solution address all the client’s business requirements.

Develop use cases in support of the client business needs. Ideally, candidates should be experienced with the features and functions of IBMs WebSphere Commerce product and can relate customer business needs to the product specs.

Develop client relationships within the client organization and build an effective cross-functional team across
diverse stake holder groups including client business and technical organizations
Work collaboratively with IBM''s domestic and global delivery organizations, and third party software vendors
Shape client''s views on project deliverables by delivery high quality work products
Provide high quality, trusted advisor advice to customers
Work in an unstructured environment and create and reuse intellectual capital to solve diverse, business and/or
technology-related challenges.

This position requires travel 4-5 days per week. It is also expected that newly hired resources into the Global Business Services U.S. practices live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 miles) of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Hartford, CT; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; New York City, NY and surrounding areas; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; and Washington, DC. Required
* Bachelor''s Degree
* At least 1 year experience in professional services consulting
* At least 1 year experience in experience with cross industry commerce consulting engagements
* Basic knowledge in teaming and ability to work effectively in cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
* At least 1 year experience in experience in demonstrated hands-on process transformation
* At least 1 year experience in experience in working under tight time frames and deadlines
* Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
* English: Intermediate

Preferred
* Master''s Degree
* At least 2 years experience in professional services consulting
* At least 2 years experience in experience with cross industry commerce consulting engagements
