Description

Description: In this role you will be a key member of the Platform Architecture wireless architecture team supporting RF Systems technology and programs across all of our mobile platforms. Core Responsibilities: •Contribute to inventing new features (could be hardware, software, etc.) to enhance the benefit of wireless features in Apple's products (leading with iPhone, following with iPod Touch, iPad, Mac, etc.) •Contribute to the requirements for these features, and translate that into testable metrics at chip and system level •Build techniques and tools for characterizing the feature performance for two, and many, devices •Characterize the feature performance as aggressor and victim relative to other system functions •Closely cooperate with the engineering team to provide seamless system integration of the feature as a part of an overall solution •Stay tightly coupled with the engineering team… could either co-locate with them or visit very often •At least 80% of time dedicated to a specific project until the feature ships
Education

Qualifications: •10+ years of RF systems engineering and architecture experience •Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams •Excellent communication and documentation skills •Ability to develop detailed system architecture and design documentation •Familiarity with RFIC design and development process is preferred •Experience with RF system simulation tools such as ADS Ptolemy, SystemVue, AWR VSS, or Matlab Education: MS/Ph.D. is preferred
