Senior Region Marketing Manager West Africa and Mahgreb - Health Care

Role Summary

As Marketing Manager you will translate the Africa marketing strategy into an integrated marketing and communications plan for execution across the region North & East Africa. This manager will be responsible for creating lead generation campaigns, moving leads through the marketing funnel, and then evaluating the effectiveness of these campaigns with market intelligence. You will partner closely with regional business managers, sales leadership and marketing operations to provide the right level of marketing support and partnership to meet the region's sales objectives.

The Senior Region Marketing Manager reports directly to the Africa Marketing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Works with PR to develop and execute integrated marketing and communications plans.

Responsible for all demand generation and awareness activities for a product/solutions portfolio in the given region (including trade shows, customer events, top-down campaigns, promotions).

Employs market research, clinical and industry trend analysis, market share and competitive analysis, win/loss tracking and price realization in developing product, clinical or customer segment strategy in the region.

Work with Region Business Managers to develop  launch plans for new products in the region with appropriate product positioning, segment/region-specific value propositions.

Manages the channel marketing component of role, integrating key product launches to channel.

Partner plans (distributors).

Responsible for capturing and reporting upon relevant metrics.

Supports Africa region management with business reporting, and funneling of insights to develop region strategy plans.

Provides regional input and support to project development and requests for proposals/tenders in the given region.

Lead brand and marketing training of new hires in the Region, including within the channel partner network.

Expected travel: 20%


Minimum 8 years experience in marketing, product marketing or related field.

Solid understanding of strategic and tactical marketing.

Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy.

Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.

Influencing skills – ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence.

Prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Proven analytical and process skills.

MBA or Masters in Marketing or International Business Studies.

Fluent in English. French or Arabic due to country coverage would be a plus.
