TEFL Jobs in Spain - Classroom Assistants

TEFL Scotland is currently recruiting for young people interested in teaching English in Spain.
This is a programme designed for school leavers, students and recent graduates to spend a year working in schools in Spain.

You would be working as an assistant in English classes, living with a host family and taking part in an exciting cultural project. As this programme follows the academic year in Spain, this would be perfect gap year opportunity for before or after a university degree.

Working within the school’s languages department, you would be focused on improving students’ ability in English through various activities such as conversation practice, explaining your native culture, helping in language laboratories and introducing students to English games and songs. You are also able to take part in the extracurricular life of the school, which can make your time in Spain even more enriching and fulfilling. A designated tutor will be assigned to you to help you settle in during your first few weeks.

These positions involve living with a host family in Spain. You would be placed in a home where a family member attends your school as a pupil or a member of staff. Breakfast and evening meals would be included (lunches are provided at the school), as well as lunches at weekends, and you would have your own room. Families participate in this programme to learn more about English and about British culture and do not receive payment. As such, it would be best suited to people who are keen to be an active member of a host family and take part in a cultural exchange. You will have to comply with the social habits of another family, such as mealtimes, chores and tidiness.
What else is included?

Meals with your host family
Lunches provided at school
Designated tutor to help you settle in
What do you need?

    TEFL England certificate: 30-hour
    Native English speaker needed? Yes
    University degree needed? No
