If you are a native-level English speaker, and want to build your curriculum as a teacher while living a fantastic experience in Spain, this grant program is your opportunity.

Selected candidates will join Spanish schools to cooperate as language assistants with 20 teaching hours per week starting in September 2013 - until June/July 2014. They will also receive a 20 ECTS credits Expert in Bilingual Education course given by a Spanish university and a monthly remuneration enough for living in Spain as a student.

- Participate as an assistant during the requested weekly hours.
- Encourage oral practice in English.
- Act as a role model for correct pronunciation and grammar.
- Collaborate with teaching staff in creating teaching materials and planning classes.
- Help the school in its international programs.
- Conversation practices with school´s teachers and students.
- The assistant will carry out these tasks accompanied or supported by a teacher.
What else is included?

- Receive a 20 ECTS Expert in Bilingual Education course, given online in English by a Spanish university.
- Receive a monthly remuneration, more than enough for living in Spain as a student.
- Have health coverage.
- Have support from the school´s designated Tutor and from Meddeas, helping the language assistant in his/her task.
- Homestay accommodation is available with some positions.
What do you need?

    TEFL England certificate: 20-hour
    Native English speaker needed? Yes
    University degree needed? No
    Other requirements: - Be a native-level English speaker and EU citizen.
    - Enjoy working with children and/or young people
    - Be energetic and imaginative.
    - Have no prior criminal convictions
    - Being competent in the Spanish language is recommended, but is not necessary.
    - Recent graduates or university students preferred.
    - People with Leaving Certificate / A levels passed in the last four years can apply as well.
