Description
 In this position, you will be joining the team enabling the industry's best enterprise platforms as a Platform Applications Engineer (PAE) in the Data Center Platform Application Engineering (DCPAE) organization. We have exciting opportunities to apply your technical knowledge to accelerate deployment of solutions based on Intel� Xeon� processor-based platform proliferations. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Providing OEM design support to ensure successful platform launch, resolving technical issues (sometimes resulting in product errata) through internal engineering teams and/or third-party suppliers
- Representing customer technical needs in new product development teams
- Working closely with the MNCs and their ODMs, providing technical assistance for their server board development and debug
- Supported products include server and workstation components such as processors, chipsets and I/O components
Qualifications
 Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and/or a Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) with five or more years of direct related experience
Strong lab and debug skills required, including experience working with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers desired
Previous board design/development experience strongly desired, with demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following disciplines: printed circuit board layout/routing and stack-up and/or schematic capture (Cadence as preferred tool); signal integrity; and modeling/simulation
Excellent overall understanding of Intel architecture-based servers with knowledge of one or more of the following: microprocessor architecture, chipset architecture, system architecture, or platform hardware/firmware design
Capable of providing OEM design support to resolve technical issues related to server board development and debug, thus ensuring successful platform launch.
Must have demonstrated ability to listen, understand, and respond professionally to customer questions/issues. Candidate must work independently, multitask effectively and exhibit strong influencing skills and customer orientation
Experience working with MNC's and experience developing 'customer ready' collateral and delivering training is highly desirable.
Ability to define and communicate problems clearly to others while working across multiple groups and sites
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
