CARE Canada is recruiting recruiting a President / CEO to drive excellence and position CARE to succeed during a period of exciting global change.  Reporting to an engaged Board, you will oversee a budget of $140 million and a large and diverse workforce in over 30 countries.

Reporting to an engaged Board, you will oversee a budget of $140 Million and a large and diverse workforce in over 30 countries.

Your role will encompass fundraising, team leadership, change management, organizational design, operational management, governance, financial stewardship, and government, media and stakeholder relations.  On the global stage, you will work with partners and colleagues across CARE International to ensure that CARE continues to serve the rapidly evolving needs of our global community.

As the ideal candidate, you have successfully led large, complex organizations; you are trusted by partners and stakeholders in Canada and abroad; and you are committed to serving the poorest communities in the world. Partners and stakeholders applaud your integrity and your ability to build strong alliances based on mutual benefit. Colleagues consider you a compelling spokesperson proficient in English and French, a skilled fundraiser and financial steward, and a gifted strategist who deals with change and complex issues with ease and clarity. As a manager and leader, you encourage innovation and creativity, exercise great judgment, and inspire teams to excel. Finally, your knowledge of the challenges of developing countries
and in Canadian public policy-making will serve CARE Canada well, as will your understanding of  government and institutional donors.
