My client is an international manufacturer and marketer of solutions that identify and protect premises, products and people. They are now looking to appoint an outstanding Direct Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the strategic and tactical customer marketing for their various brands.

The role will have particular emphasis on multi-channel marketing and customer engagement including accountability for campaign performance. As Direct Marketing Manager you will have the autonomy to make your own decisions, working closely with the UK management team to develop strategies and tactics in order to drive customer acquisition, retention and reactivation.



Role:

    To drive customer acquisition, retention and reactivation as well as customer ‘life time value’
    Managing the customer marketing function to develop and execute direct marketing strategy and tactics, ensuring that scheduled campaigns are sent to the highest responding potential segments of customers.
    To ensure that management information required to measure the success of the business strategy is freely available, providing analytical support to allow different business teams to make informed decisions.

 Accountabilities:

    Development and execution of the marketing strategy in conjunction with UK Management team to drive customer acquisition, retention and reactivation
    Manage the consistency of multi-channel marketing plans ensuring customer messaging is consistent across all channels
    Creation and ownership of individual mailing schedules, to meet objectives of overall marketing plan and conduct research and voice of customer analysis
    Translate customer insights into strategic and tactical plans
    Working with and influencing internal peers to ensure customer touch-points are executed in line with strategy
    Direct line management of Direct Marketing Executive and Marketing Coordinator
    Managing Marketing budget in the region of £5 million per annum and management of prospect list ordering process to budget
    Implementation of new database measures/practices (site based strategy, lifetime value measure)

Key Performance Indicators:

    Achievement of customer acquisition, retention and reactivation targets
    Timely delivery of marketing plans
    Accuracy and management of advertising budget
    Campaign measurement and analysis
    Delivery of standard and ad-hoc reporting

Knowledge, Skills & Attitudes:

    Database marketing experience
    Multi-channel experience (on & off-line)
    CIM Diploma Direct Marketing an advantage
    Graduate / equivalent
     Excellent PC skills – Excel, Powerpoint, etc
    Numeracy, accuracy, analytical ability
    Good communication and interpersonal skills
    Customer focused attitude
    High level of energy
    Enthusiastic team player
