Principal Software Engineer - Marketplace Team

Silicon Valley’s newest development lab, @WalmartLabs, is rapidly expanding and we're looking for talented people like you. @WalmartLabs was founded just a few months ago and we're inventing the future of next-gen global e-commerce.

We are exploring the latest and greatest technologies to light up our new platform. Service Oriented Architecture, NO SQL Database (Cassandra, HBASE), Fraud detection, Responsive Web design, Decision engine and web analytics are few of them.

Our teams are working on wide variety of projects such as Personalization, Recommendation Mining, Identity Management, Portals, Inventory Management, Order Management, Front-End Systems, Vendor Marketplace, Cart/Checkout, Fraud, Tax, Payments, etc.

Position Description

    Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues
    Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
    Ensures business needs are being met
    Leads and directs in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects
    Leads the discovery phase of large projects to develop high level design
    Leads the work of cross-functional groups of ten to twenty engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects
    Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
    Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
    Supports business objectives


Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 6 years experience building scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software
