Westlands Water District is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Deputy General Manager – Resources vacancy in our Fresno Office. This position is a senior management level classification with direct management responsibility over the Resources Division.

The Deputy General Manager – Resources is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all water resource activities of the District including preservation and restoration of Federal contract water supply, acquisition of supplemental water supplies, administration and scheduling of water deliveries, power, drainage, ground water and water conservation.

Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of equivalent education and experience that has led to the acquisition of the knowledge required by the position. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and experience would be:
• Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Agriculture, or Environmental Engineering, Business Administration or related field; AND
• Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in the field of water resources planning and administration.
• Experience in a high-level administrative or managerial role which included supervisory responsibilities.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Experience working in a water district or government agency would be preferred.
• Possession of a valid certification of registration as Professional Engineer issued by the State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineer is desirable. http://engineeringjobs-usa.com
