Position Description

Description
Performs analyses to support Propulsion & Fuels Product Team design, specification compliance, validation/certification, product support and product development. Develops improved methods to gather propulsion and fuel Systems Engineering data, process analyses and develop analytical tools. Provides consultation on propulsion and fuel system data and project management strategic planning. Mentors others and may serve as propulsion technical analyst group lead. Works under minimal direction.

Develops Propulsion & Fuels baseline management tools and processes using Boeing Program Management Best practices to capture team analyses to assist design, specification compliance, validation/certification, product support and product development. Develops new and unique methods to gather propulsion and fuel system engineering data, process analyses and develop analytical tools. Provides strategic planning and consultation on data and project management. http://engineeringjobs-usa.com

Specific tasks during Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD) include:
- Create cross-functional project plans supporting execution needs of the team
- Perform baseline management using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs)
- Requirements management and risk/opportunity manager for assigned teams
- Lead technical, process and business trades with project management proficiency & discipline
- Supports functional / physical / logical Interface definition with Structures / Systems / Test teams
- Develops specifications supporting both customer operational needs & regulatory compliance
- Creates appropriate insight metrics to manage daily execution status and release performance
- Perform change management for hardware and software configuration items
- Customer focal for technical coordination & communication
- Leads systems integration initiatives with Structures, Systems, Test, EEE, Environments, Safety
- Leads compliance reviews with cognizant design and specialty engineering teams
- Supports design-to-cost analysis for assigned team and suppliers
- Provides mentoring to project teams regarding possible workarounds and recovery plans
- Project leader for design and independent reviews using Systems Engineering processes

Typical Education/Experience

Level 4 – AA degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 5 – AA degree in related discipline and typically 9 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
