Copy editor and writer

Korea IT Times is looking for a native English speaker to be a copy editor and writer.

The ideal candidate would have experience writing for a magazine or newspaper in the English language, and experience in fixing English-language mistakes in writing that are common for Korean English speakers.

Copy editing and writing is according to the Chicago Manual of Style.

In order to apply for the position, candidates should take a online copy-editing test and then only sucessful candidates will be taking a off-line writing test.

1. Full Time editor

This job requires not only copy editing and writing several on & off-line articles each month, but also field working such as reporting as well, making sure that the finished product is of the highest quality. Being already familiar with the Information Technology industry and web programing (Drupal & prospoint) and computer skills are a plus.

- Work Hours: from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 5 days per week

- Terms of employeement: 3 month contract basis

- Payment: 2,000,000 KRW

2. Part Time Distance editor

This job requires distance copy editing and writing several articles each month. The concentration time is from 9 AM to 1 PM. During this time, editor edits online daily news at www.koreaittimes.com and in the afternoon, editor follows up works on a case by case basis.

During deadline period for monthly magazine, editor should come to office for 3days each month for editing the printed copies of magazine.

In concentration time, distance communication is must. In the afternoon, following up works on a case by case basis.

- Terms of employeement: 3 month contract basis

- Payment: 1,000,000 KRW
