Major Responsibilities:
Business Role
CORPORATE ROLE
- Global HR Business Partner for the support functions, serving as the main point of contact
to resolve any HR related matter
LOCAL ROLE
- Manage all the local HR activities related to recruitment, training, talent, internal communication,
administration, organization and compensation. Promote the workforce engagement and enforce
the corporate policies in the local site.
Responsibilities
1. MADRID HR MANAGEMENT
- Manage and define the recruitment, training, talent, Internal communication, administration,
Organization and compensation activities and guidelines for the Madrid offices
- Control of processes and procedures
- Supervise and manage the site payroll, contracts, social security, taxes, social benefits, etc ?l
Participate actively in the local implementation of the Corporate guidelines and practices in the site
- Control and monitoring of the site budget and expenditure
2. LABOUR RELATIONS & WORKS COUNCIL
- Interface and co-ordinate meetings with the Works Council.
- Manage and supervise the works council elections.
- Responsible of the works council budget.
- Manage the labour relations of the site and act as a mediator between employees and their
supervisors to resolve issues
- Attend the Labour Court , SMAC, and Labour Inspection when necessary and give support to the
legal representative
3. LOCAL LEGAL OBLIGATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and requirements
- Manage and participate in the labour inspections and audits
- Be up to date and comply with new legislation that requires office adjustments (I.e.: health &
safety regulation, Equity) ?lImpatriates' and expatriates' contracts support in their paperwork
4. BUSINESS PARTNER - Corporate support functions
- Act as the point of contact for all the HR issues
- Assist management in implementing the HR strategy in their business units
- Act as the Business Partner cross site providing generalist HR support in collaboration with the
regional and local HR colleagues
5. GENERAL SERVICES MANAGEMENT
- Supervise, coordinate and assure proper General Services activities ( office space, security,
company cars, catering, telephone, visas, insurances, utilities)
- Control budget by optimising cost saving and negotiations with providers to secure optimal value
of money
- Analyse current practices, define, create and develop policies and procedures
6. TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Manage and lead the members of the local team in their day to day activities
- Perform the team's performance reviews, motivate, feedback
- Motivate, feedback and work on their development plans
Requirements:
Education
Degree preferably in Law or Business Administration. MBA or MHR an asset.
Experience
10 years experience in HR Department in a multinational company.
Business understanding
Good understanding of the travel and distribution industry an asset.
Specific knowledge
- Expert on  Spanish Labour, Social and Tax laws
- Good knowledge of Human Resources Area
- Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks and to commit with deadlines.
- Capacity to manage people and deal with conflict
Language
- English: Very Good
Computing
- PC skills: Advanced
- Knowledge of SAP HR is desired
