Position Description

Major national non-profit seeks an Associate Director of Finance. Incumbent will be responsible for managing the overall financial plans and accounting practices of the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, the annual budget, payroll, accounts payable/receivable,
employee pex card program, and expense reimbursements. The successful candidate will manage financial/accounting system controls and standards and ensure timely reports for management and/or Board use. The employee should also be well-acquainted with tax, profit and loss, balance sheets, and group audit standards. Furthermore, the incumbent will play a role in ensuring that risk management and auditing processes are carried out successfully.

Location:

Position may be based anywhere, however, preferred location for incumbent is Maryland/DC area.

Requirements
Candidates must have the following:

* A BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or the like (any top tier schools would be a strong selling point although they are not essential)
* An MBA would be viewed favorably
* Approximately 3-5 years of prior payroll management and experience with paychecks, F/P/A experience including budgeting and forecasting are required
* Candidates with start-up and/or changing environment experience will be a plus
* Demonstrated ability in a fast-paced environment is essential
* Home office, including computer and dedicated phone line with ability make and receive national and local calls
