Introduction
The Poverty, Gender and Innovations theme is seeking to recruit a Data Analyst to create and manage the literature data base. S/he will also be tasked with assisting in conducting literature reviews, data analysis and preparing various kinds of reports as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

    A Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Sociology, Anthropology or other relevant Social Science degree.
    At least two years’ experience in conducting literature searches using various search engines.
    Strong computer skills, including high level of proficiency with MS Word, MS PowerPoint  and MS Excel.
    Ability to do basic qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
    Ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team.
    Good presentation and oral/written communication and skills.
    Superior multi-tasking skills with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and organize tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
    Willingness to learn new skills.

Key responsibilities

    Assist in conducting literature reviews.
    Build, organize and maintain databases of the literature sourced into a database for literature.
    Contributing to qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
    Assist in organizing workshops, conferences and meetings.
    Assist in drafting reports, minutes of meetings and any other write ups assigned.
    Performing other duties/tasks as required and/or assigned.

Terms of Appointment
This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position based at ILRI’s Nairobi campus with frequent travel to the field and is open to Kenyan nationals only. The position is on a 2-year fixed contract subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding
