Job Specification
Our client is one of the largest gold producers in the world. They have numerous advanced exploration and development projects, and large land positions on the most prolific and prospective mineral trends in Africa. They require a suitably qualified and experienced Instrumentation and IT Engineer who will be accountable for operational cost control, risk mitigating initiatives, critical parts analysis and inventory as well as maintaining a safe environment and ensure that effective engineering standards and procedures are developed and implemented in compliance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements. Instrumentation & IT Engineer.

Candidate Requirements (including, but not limited to)


    * Degree and / or Diploma or equivalent qualification in the field of Instrument, Mechanician and / or Electrical Engineering and IT.
    * Proven experience in a maintenance function in mining or mineral processing.
    * Work experience on CIL Plant Equipment, Plant PLC’s and SCADA and associated programming duties are essential for Project expansion functions.



Role Descriptions


    * Focus on safety, risk management, the identification and elimination of the Instrumentation & IT constraints.
    * Ensure that the integrity and availability of the technical side of the CIL Plant is maintained including:
    * The plant expansion project
    * Managing of the IT department, improved inventory management, upgrading the planned maintenance system and activities including the monitoring of critical equipment in the appropriate areas.
