Internship: Social Media

Location: Washington DC
Description:
Are you passionate about using social media to create conversations around international topics?

The International Reporting Project at SAIS seeks a paid intern to help manage and expand its social media initiatives, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Flickr, and any other social networks that pop up. You may also update the website, write blog posts, research new media experts and techniques, and edit video and photography as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and expand social media initiatives
* Write blog posts
* Update website
* Edit video and photography as needed
* Provide program support as needed

Qualifications:

* Extensive experience using social media networks
* Strong writing skills (preferably in a journalistic environment)
* Experience updating websites
* Experience with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
* Associate's required, Bachelor's preferred, Master's a plus

Pay: $13.29/hour
Hours: 15 hours/week
Duration: Temporary (around 6 months)
